The electric vehicle in rural areas: examples of the Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches

This video capsule is presented by the Conseil régional de l'Environnement Chaudière-Appalaches and the Conseil régional de l'environnement - région de la Capitale-Nationale.

Find out how the MRCs can play a key role in the development of a charging network for EV in their territory. This capsule shows you the possibility of using electric vehicles, even in rural areas, thanks to the deployment of charging stations by the various MRCs.

  • Béatrice Riché, project manager at Conseil régional de l'Environnement Chaudière-Appalaches, tells us about the recent installation of 50 public and free charging stations in Chaudière-Appalaches.
  • Stéphanie Poiré, regional development officer, MRC de Portneuf, tells us about the installation of 12 new charging stations in Portneuf, which has become a concerted and collective project.
  • Samuel Vachon, Chaudière-Appalaches regional director, Association des véhicules électriques du Québec (AVÉQ), explains the advantages of electric vehicles, and tells us about the need to meet the growing demand for charging stations in rural areas.
